Spiritual Growth
We want to help inspire you to live the life God dreams for you as we spread His love in ever-widening circles. Following the way of Jesus starts with a decision. Growing more like Him takes (1) intentionality, (2) is communal, (3) requires our engagement, (4) is ultimately accomplished by the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives, (5) is for the glory of God, for our benefit and for the service of others. To do this, our pastoral team develops a specific plan to help people follow the way of Jesus, which includes a new spiritual growth theme each Trimester, a Bible reading plan, a recommended reading, and opportunities to commit to community and weekly worship.
TRIMESTER 3 | 2026
This Trimester, our Spiritual Growth Theme is "Celebrate the Past, Create the Future." We will, of course, celebrate all that God has done at and through TLCC over the past 35 years, but we are also looking expectantly to the future, ready for whatever God has planned for our church in this next chapter. Here is what to expect over the next few months:

Series 1: The Future is Calling: What If You're the Answer?
Launches Sunday, September 13

"The Future Is Calling: What If You’re the Answer?" will encourage you to listen closely and carefully to what future God is calling you to create. Based on Pastor Terry A. Smith’s book Live 10: Jump-Start the Best Version of Your Life, each week’s teaching will help you move from living a conventional, not-quite-fulfilling life to a proactive, best, abundant life. Partnering with God to create a better, preferred future will not just change you; it will change the world.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH PLAN
Orienting our entire way of life around the way of Jesus is the catalyst for our human flourishing. Some routines that have proven to be primarily essential for our spiritual growth are our formed habits around the Spiritual Practices, like scripture reading, engagement in weekly community within a small group, and gathering together weekly as a church to worship God. SPIRITUAL PRACTICES
Spiritual Practices are to spiritual formation what exercise is to strength training - they are a way to grow into power to be transformed into a new kind of person. These practices don't transform us, God does by the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, however; they do create the time and space for God to do the inner work of deep transformation.
DAILY SCRIPTURE ENGAGEMENT
Scripture tells us the story of God working out His plan to redeem the world. When we read scripture, we find our place in God’s story, and we learn about how to live within the story.

LIFE Groups are designed with one purpose: to help you build genuine relationships and foster spiritual growth. Life is better when we live it together. Don’t miss the chance to connect, reflect, and grow alongside others on the same journey.

GROW CLASSES
Grow Classes at The Life Christian Church are spaces for learning in the context of community. Over the course of eight weeks, you'll be invited into meaningful learning experiences that help you explore faith, discover your purpose, and grow in Christlikeness no matter where you are on the journey. ​Each class builds intentionally, guiding you through a pathway of transformation and next steps.

LIFE TEAMS
Discover all the meaningful ways you can care for others, develop new skills or use your gifts by serving on a team. There are many opportunities for you to serve on Sundays and throughout the week. LIFE Teams are small groups of people that serve a vital function of TLCC through the utilization of their unique gifts, passions, and mission, all while in a family environment.
GATHER ON SUNDAYS
Hebrews 10:25 "We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some are in the habit of doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other..." Sunday worship experiences are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn from the teaching, pray for one another, and grow in our faith. We encourage you to commit to attending one of our services at either our West Orange Campus or Online Campus.
